When I posted the picture and story of my Motivation Marbles earlier this month, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I received from so many of you who are going through the same thing. Whether we want to lose 5 pounds or 500 pounds, we all share common ground in that we all have to make important changes in our lives in order to be successful and reach our goals.
I ran across two versions of marble jars on Pinterest before I made my own – both of them were awesome and helped me come up with my own version. Since I posted my Motivation Marbles, I’ve seen so many other folks creating their own marble jars – and each of them have put a unique spin on Motivation Marbles that made them special.
Matt, the webmaster ninja, has done more amazing work on my site – and I am now extremely proud to announce:
There’s a new tab at the top of this page called Motivational Marbles. If you have made your own Motivation Marbles, you’re invited to click on that tab and submit a photo of your finished project. If you’re a blogger like me, feel free to provide your blog address so that we can all visit your blog and cheer you on. 🙂
Note: to prevent spammy creeps from posting porn and other crud on my site, all images will be moderated – so if you don’t see your image listed right away please don’t worry…they’re just pending moderation. I promise to get to them as quickly as possible. I can’t wait to see what you’ve done with your marbles!
Please invite your friends to participate and share the link to this project on your Facebook pages, blog, Pinterest, forums…you name it. Tweet, tweet, tweet! Let’s get the word out and share our creativity!!
And I’d like to give a Four Butt Salute to my sweet, wonderful, loyal, and uber talented friend Matt the webmaster ninja. I could write sonnets about this guy, really. It means so much to me to have so many loving friends, so many people who support me – friends & strangers alike. Matt is a particularly awesome friend – and he has selflessly given his time & talent to build, maintain, and upgrade this site for me…so I just want to give him a virtual (((HUG))) right here. Thanks, Matt.
As for y’all…you have no idea how much you motivate me every day. Your messages of support and cheer really keep me focused on my goal – and those of you who have shared your stories with me have inspired me more than you will ever know. Please continue to come here and post. You’re not just inspiring me – you’re inspiring each other…including those who read this blog and never post a comment. This project is my way of paying a little bit forward. Let’s keep the marble rolling, shall we? 🙂
I have so much more to share with you, but I have to shut up – it’s 830 pm in the Hot Mess household already and I have yet to get my four butts on the treadmill. I’m getting on the scale this week and I want to make it count. I want to lose my marbles!
One more thing, though: guess what I got in the mail today?
My S2H Step pedometer!
I’ll give y’all a progress report on that later – plus I want to tell you about a very useful app that Donna B. recommended on my Facebook Fan Page. I used it this weekend…freak’in AWESOME. Y’all are gonna love it.
If you’re trying to lose weight, get in shape, or just live a healthier life and you feel yourself losing steam or giving up because you didn’t have the perfect day today just remember: you don’t have to be perfect…you just have to start.
I’ll see y’all tomorrow!

Woohoo! I can’t WAIT to join your marble-train!!! Just posted about my mushroom jar because my husband has decided to join in! Now we’re filling the jar twice as fast – with two colors of marbles 🙂
That is so cool that your husband is getting involved as well!
What a great way to get the hubby involved!!! I read your comment to my hubby and said “How about it, babe?” He grumbled. LOL. Congrats to your hubby for losing his marbles right along with you!
Already got our first 2 submissions posted. Dang you guys are fast!
As soon as I saw it… I had to go do it. The hardest part is waiting to the next day to add marbles 🙂
You, go, Coffee! 🙂 Did you post the picture so we can see your marbles?
I’m going marble project shopping this weekend! Since I’ll be a December bride this year, maybe I’ll do a bridal theme! Thanks again for this fabulous idea!
Can’t wait to see your creation, Allison! 🙂 I had a lot of fun doing mine.
Just started me a blog http://weighmorethanaprettyface.blogspot.com/
Keep up the good work Dianne! 🙂
Yay! I was your first subscriber. 🙂 I love the name of it…very creative!
Yay! So happy I got mine done yesterday. Even if my lettering is crooked. LOL.
Nice job, Amber! When I do lettering that turns out crooked, I call it “rustic” or “whimsical” 🙂 And I think they look fine!
This is amazing! I came across your blog and saw your motivational marbles and LOVED the idea. I bought my supplies yesterday, but my jars are too big for what I want, so I can’t get it set up until tomorrow after I’ve had a chance to exchange them. Thank you for being inspirational!
Thanks, Sarah! I can’t wait to see what you create…and I hope you post a picture on the Motivation Marbles project!
This is a great idea, thanks for sharing it! I’m going out this weekend to start my own collection!
Thanks, Eaba! Can’t wait to see your marbles!!
